Who we are
BeautyFounded is a small, independent editorial site run by the BeautyFounded Editorial Team. We publish buying guides for makeup, skincare and hair products, and short explainers that answer the questions people actually type into search.
We don't pretend to be a lab. We don't publish hands-on testing claims, and we don't invent experts. What we do is careful reading: we open each product's Amazon listing, record what it says word for word, and build each guide from that record.
What makes us different
Brands make a lot of claims. When a listing says a mascara gives "24-hour" wear or a serum "boosts glow", we tell you that's the brand talking. When two parts of the same listing disagree, we show you both. When a listing is silent on something, we say so instead of filling the gap. General facts in our explainers come from named sources, linked at the bottom of each page.
Every pick shows its Amazon star rating next to the number of ratings behind it, with the date we checked, so you can weigh a 4.6 from forty thousand ratings differently from a 4.6 from a few hundred.
How we make money
BeautyFounded is supported by the Amazon Associates program: when you buy through one of our links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
